MCM Glasses

Founded in the Golden Age of Munich in 1976, MCM is a German brand known for its luxury leather goods. MCM glasses are a later addition to the brand, who first flourished in an era of rebellion, musicians, jetsetters, entrepreneurs, and both stars and starlets. Debuting in a new era of nightlife and daily life made anything possible. One of MCM’s first successes were its bags, which proved popular in the 1980s for their repetitive patterns and stand out advertising campaigns. The 1990’s saw the highest profile models including Cindy Crawford adorn the MCM bag, with Diana Ross even using MCM suitcases on tour. The repeated MCM logo is historic, containing a laurel, a diamond, and the letters MCM. You won’t see an MCM product without this beribboned laurel, which pays tribute to King Ludwig I’s passion for everything neoclassical, as well as being the Greek symbol for victory. The diamond symbolises value, strength and durability without compromise, taking inspiration from the diamonds of the Bavarian flag. Still today, each MCM piece is personalised with a unique number engraved on the iconic brass plate, ensuring every MCM product is iconic with signature detail. Still adorned to this day by celebrities such as Ronaldo, Rihanna and Beyonce, MCM glasses cross the boundaries of streetwear and high-end fashion.
